It was built in the years 1908-1910 according to the design of the following engineers: Meyer, Weyrauch, Scholtz and Bender. At first it was named „Caesar bridge" and then - „Freedom bridge". The span length equals to 216 m and the length of the footbridge alone is 112.5 m. The architecture of pylons points to the influence of Art Nouveau.
